Underneath the kitchen subfloor was a really nice wood floor, much newer then the rest of the house. The house was supposedly moved there around 1900 and I thought maybe the kitchen/back of the house was an addition to that, and the newer floors made that seem more likely. However, when I pulled up the linoleum from Barbara’s room, it was the same floor as in the other rooms in the house, meaning the kitchen floor was probably just replaced at some point.
